Biography

I am a neurobiologist who recently put down the pipettes to get further training in bioinformatics to better understand the brain (which I would argue is the coolest and most fascinating organ in the human body), by building computational biology models for studying neurodegenerative diseases. I completed my Ph.D. at the University of Exeter (England, United Kingdom), in collaboration with Eli Lilly & Co (England, United Kingdom), where I studied (epi)genomics of Alzheimer's disease. In my current research at Harvard, I am investigating protective mechanisms of resilience and resistance against Alzheimer’s disease to inform therapeutical strategies against this devastating disease.

Outside of work (or extra projects on the topics of “women in science” and mental health), you will probably find me practicing yoga, reading, or playing video games. My motto is "Be the change you want to see in the world", and my mission in life is to "Leave the world better than I found it".
