I am a biochemist who embarked on a scientific journey into the world of nanomaterials for cancer therapy. While I am battling cancer cells at the microscopic level, I'm also a Ph.D. student. My research is focused on the use of silicon-based nanoparticles for both cancer therapy and diagnosis. I'm all about teamwork, collaborating closely with the INL, the CQ-UM, and the ICVS at the University of Minho. I've got an enthusiasm for multidisciplinary education, reveling in the opportunity to explore diverse scientific domains. And when I finally manage to escape the lab, you'll find me indulging my creative side. I am like a modern “Renaissance” scientist who enjoys drawing, photography, and music. So, whether I'm in the lab or the world of arts, I'm always thinking big (but also in a small, nano kind of way).
