I am a Neurobiologist turned Project Manager. With a Ph.D. in Health Sciences by the University of Minho (Portugal) and a postdoctoral training at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York (US), I unraveled the complexities of the brain before leaving the benchwork. Now, I lead and manage R&D projects in the field of cancer therapy and cellular reprogramming funded by major Swedish Foundations and the European Commission, in close collaboration with the US and European Academic and Industry partners. Plus, I advise on the best European Commission calls and private funding opportunities that fits the lab’s research goals and vision. Outside of work, you will find me working as a volunteer at the Refood movement, aiming to rescue good food to stop waste and feed people in need. I am also a travel enthusiast, always planning the next adventure.
