Biography

I am a Ph.D. student in the ITN LongActNow, a Marie Skłodowska-Curie PhD consortium, between Janssen Pharmaceutica (Belgium), TU Dortmund (Germany), and the University of Limerick and Trinity College Dublin (Ireland). My research is about the development of new platforms for the production of long-acting injectables (LAIs). These formulations have as main advantage the replacement of daily oral medication by an injection which its effect can last from weeks to months, improving patients’ lives. Besides loving being in the lab, I like to participate in science communication events, where the general audience gets to know what the scientists are doing. When I need a break from all sciency things, I love to immerse myself in a good book, or lose myself taking pictures of landscapes and little nature details that pick up my interest.
