Role at NCS
Principal Scientific Communications Specialist at Med Communications

Biography

I'm a pharmacist who likes to be challenged and recently discovered that I really enjoy science communication and mentoring students on the pharmaceutical field, two of the reasons why I joined NCS. I have previous experience in the medical information field working for Pfizer for 1 year and 6 months in the Neuroscience and Pain Therapeutic Area. After this first job experience, I moved to London to work at the European Medicines Agency for 1 year and 6 months as Scientific and Regulatory Management Department Trainee in Endocrinology, Metabolism and Cardiovascular areas. In 2019, I moved to Dublin to work in regulatory affairs at Parexel and after the pandemic (in 2021) I moved back to Porto to work for Bial as regulatory affairs manager while I did a master in Epidemiology and Public Health at Universidad Internacional de Valencia. Recently, I returned to the medical information field and started working at Med Communications in Sep 2023.

In my free time I like to travel, read books, play padel, and attend music festivals. One of my passions is volunteering and being involved in social causes. I am an advocate for human rights and equality of opportunities. This lead me to co-found SPEAK Dublin, a social enterprise which intends to help migrants and refugees integrate in their new locations through language and culture exchange. Recently, I traveled for 2 months in Southeast Asia where I also volunteered to teach English to children.
